"John Jackson has been my insurance agent since the early 2000’s. He and Susan have been super easy and great to work with over the years, and they’ve provided great products and pricing for our family. Years ago I had been with Progressive and felt I was being overcharged significantly. John and his team not only improved my coverage but also cut my monthly payment roughly in half. They’ve been responsive when we’ve had questions or needed to make changes , they’re easy to reach via phone or email, and always just been good to us. When you get off the phone with them you generally feel better about the day because of their positive attitude. We insure our 114 year old house, multiple cars, a boat, and other things through them across Oregon and Washington. John and his team provide that old school exemplary service backed by experience like what we had more commonly generations ago in the small business world. They’re definitely worth calling if you’re shopping for insurance of any sort."

"State Farm has always done right by us … but the real treat is our local agent John Jackson and office manager Susan. Not only are they very responsive to anything that comes up, but they are proactive in looking out for us on our policies and coverage. That kind of service is rare these days – highly recommended!"

"Great Knowledge and great customer service. We have always had great service from John Jackson Agency as we have been with them for more than a decade, Today was a great example. My "almost" an adult daughter bought her own car and needed insurance, but I needed to know more than just cost. I had a lot of questions about my liability and coverages and several other technical questions that required broad insurance knowledge. That is exactly what I got with Susan Clark in the office. Not a phone tree or a robot, but a smart and caring local person who had the answers and also went about making sure I had not only the best coverage, but the coverage I needed at the best cost. She followed up multiple times, always calling back quickly and was very professional. "Disappointed with Service and Lack of Communication I recently experienced significant dissatisfaction with the service provided by John and Susan. Despite Susan’s assurances that our payment would remain consistent after requested changes, our bill unexpectedly increased. Furthermore, they failed to adequately inform us of the impact of these changes, leading to undue confusion and frustration. If we were properly informed then we would’ve taken a different direction, but hey we were being blamed for not knowing it. During interactions with him, I encountered unprofessional behavior and a lack of accountability. Instead of addressing our concerns, he hang up on us. This concerning experience raises doubts about their reliability in handling future claims. Imagine, you are grappling with the stress of an accident, and then you’ll face another unnecessary stress from dealing with the insurance agent is distressing. It's disheartening to realize that my initial interactions with them have left me questioning their commitment to customer service. This sentiment is echoed in other reviews, highlighting a pattern of dissatisfaction among customers"

"I have been with John Jackson State Farm since I was old enough to have auto insurance. 7 years with this company and I have been nothing but disappointed. They are surprisingly rude every phone call. I called recently to see about getting a better rate since I have been a customer for 7 straight years and the lady on the phone told me if I wasn't a student I would not get a discount.. then proceeded to tell me how amazing her kids turned out because they went to college. Clearly bringing in her own personal beliefs and putting me down for not going to college. After canceling my auto insurance with John Jackson they proceeded to take my payment out of my account. It has taken over a month since I have received any form of refund. Each time I call to check on my refund I get nothing but disrespect on the phone from John himself. The last phone call ended in him yelling at me if you can even believe that... how professional lol."

"Moved from Alaska during a pandemic and needed assistance transferring multiple polices from my old State Farm agent of two decades to a new agency. Selected John Jackson and have been so very pleased with the customer service from Susan Clark! Her experience was of great assistance, anticipating our needs and even reducing my monthly payments by nearly $200 a month. I would highly recommend Susan and John Jackson State Farm"

"Received a double billing from State Farm today. Wrote and sent John an email expressing our concerns. He wrote back an unprofessional email without proper punctuation. We sent him a second email expressing our concerns about his email response. He called laughing and called my wife the wrong name. He has been our agent for 7 years and has not tried to build a relationship with us. Yet he feels that it is appropriate to call us during dinner and insult us. Shame on him. Still the worst insurance agent in Vancouver. His assistant called me on my birthday to harrass me about getting my widget installed. No mention of happy birthday. Incompetent and apathetic at best. Called and requested current proof of insurance. When I arrived Laura had printed out the proof of insurance that I had told her that I had. No apologies. Not even from Patty. John Jackson not in office. This is only one of the recent misadventures with this office, there have been others much worse."

"John Jackson is a very angry, emotional and unprofessional agent. I dealt with his staff for years without issue, but when I rented my home out and obtained a landlord policy for my home, he wrote the policy incorrectly which resulted in termination. I called another State Farm agent and got coverage immediately, then called his office to find out what had happened. He literally screamed at me (about questioning his integrity...huh?) and hung up the phone on me. It turns out that he then called my new agent, screamed at them and accused them of trying to steal business from him. The only thing that lost him business is his unprofessional and overly emotional behavior. It was a bizarre experience, which I'm glad to share with other people. Go to ANY OTHER state farm agent and steer clear of this hot mess."

"I’ve been with StateFarm since I was 18, now not 26 paid all my bills on time. And never been in a accident. They don’t have no promotions no Holliday’s specials. Nothing. I will be leaving StateFarm. They also informed that my insurance will go down when I turned 25 years old. It went down 3 bucks. Smh."

"Terrible customer service by Amira at State Farm. She would constantly call my husband at work in order to try and get him to switch our insurance from Ameriprise despite him telling her we’d call her if we were interested. We were given a quote and she put in affect a home policy without any signed document from us and charged us monthly to then find out we “owed” money for an insurance policy we didn’t know we had! She said their office goes by a “verbal agreement contract” which we weren’t told about either! The manager old us that if we didn’t want to get charged we had to then provide to them a proof of our Ameriprise insurance to remove any monthly fee! Did I mention she hung up on my husband when he asked her why she started the policy without our consent?! Lol this place is filled with desperate unprofessional scammers! Don’t go to these people go through Costco Home insurance very low rates!"

"Earlier this year my husband and I were in a rear end accident on I-5 in my brand new Ford Explorer. I had the car towed to Leif's in Portland where they totaled it. State Farm was right on processing my claim and I received the full purchase price and was able to purchase another vehicle all within a month of the accident. Thank you John Jackson's office for facilitating this process. I need to personally thank Amira who took my phone calls and kept in touch with me regarding my claim."

"This has been a nightmare. We were hit by an uninsured motorist at a dead stop back on valentines day. We thought it was lucky to have full coverage... we were wrong. Fast forward to April 20th and this issue is only just now "resolved". We were told the car needed to be fixed and ended up putting $1,200 into the front end before taking it to the body shop. The agent said, "we can't definitively link the front end damage to the collision" despite us breaking down on the freeway minutes after the accident. We sucked it up, fixed the front end so it would run and drove it to the body shop. The shop there totalled the car out. State Farm refused to validate the $1,200 we JUST put in. We ended up just eating the loss. They immediately reported to the DOL that the title was to be revoked since the car was totalled but waited a full month to pay us for the loss. In the mean time we had no title to the car, continued to pay interest on the loan, and had to pay out of pocket for a rental car. The company refused to give us a claims agent forcing us to work with a whole group of people who were so horrible we had to request that some never touch our case again. This made getting answers and resolutions incredibly difficult as communication between these people was lacking at best. Went into the office because trying to make a phone call is impossible with this company unless you want to leave a message and wait 2 weeks to be called back and the lady in the office couldn't even get straight answers for me. This was an absolute nightmare that we have now paid $2,000 for and now are waiting 5-6 weeks for the bank to resolve. Absolutely disgusted with this company. Never had any problems with claims in the past when I was with another agent. Saying goodbye to State Farm after 11 years."

"No issues with this office. I work and live nearby so stopping in is easy. I had questions about coverage when I rented a Uhaul for my move. They answered all of my questions. When I moved, it was very easy to adjust my policy and I have moved twice in the last 3 years. I am not giving them a 4 or 5 since I haven't had any major issues that they have needed to resolve and I have not had to report a claim so I do not have an opinion on that process."
